Once a Station Masters house, Station House now provides the ideal base to explore the Lake District, Scottish Borders and Eden Valley. Situated in the tiny village of Troutbeck between Keswick and Penrith, the holiday cottage is close to lake Ullswater.
The self catering cottage offers spacious accommodation which is well equipped and includes facilities such as a washing machine, DVD, dishwasher and central heating to ensure your comfort. There is a large conservatory which offers incredible views over the pretty garden and beyond over the fells and enjoys the morning sun. The large enclosed garden is the perfect place to relax with a patio area, seating, BBQ and heater.
There are three pubs within one mile and the nearest towns are Keswick or Penrith which are eight miles away.
Ullswater is the second largest lake in the Lake District and offers breathtaking scenery and many activities including: superb walking; sailing; cycling; rock-climbing; fishing and organised cruises.
Also nearby is the Rookin House Outdoor Activity Centre which offers horse riding, quad biking and much more.
Our weeks run from Saturday to Saturday and we usually let for a full week.
Short breaks can be arranged out of season and at short notice during the high season.
